Conservative pundit and border wall advocate Ann Coulter turned on the president when she criticized him for not getting the wall finished. It seems the notable commentator hasn’t been paying attention to the ongoing battle between the administration and the left—not to mention the entire media.
President Trump noticed her baseless attacks and fired back—with a new nickname.
President Trump promised during his campaign to build a wall across our Southern border. After two years in office, the wall is far from finished. But before patriots start to rage against the POTUS, keep in mind that Trump cannot build the wall all by himself. It takes money.
That’s the one thing Democrats (and many Republicans) have been denying him. The simple truth is the establishment in D.C. does not want the wall. Both Republicans and Democrats have turned a blind eye to the crisis at our border. They have all benefited from unchecked illegal immigration into our country. That’s why we call it the D.C. swamp, after all. It’s become so corrupt, both parties are at fault.
Despite the ongoing obstruction, President Trump has done the impossible. He’s made good on so many promises, they isn’t room right now to list them all. Suffice it so say, the economy is doing great, people are working, and America is roaring back to life.
Apparently, that’s not good enough for Ann Coulter, who is known for her outlandish opinions and continuous pot-stirring. But perhaps she bit off more than she could chew when she recently attacked the one man working to make America great again.
Now, let me as you this: is it smart to attack Donald Trump in this way? When conservatives face such incredible opposition from the mainstream media, the entertainment industry, and politicians, why would you turn on the one man helping us?
President Trump has defied the critics on every level. His administration is doing amazing work across the board. His accomplishments should be celebrated by conservatives. Yet Coulter wants to poison his base with these attacks (and that’s hardly the only tweet/comment she’s made).
Trump tends to ignore about 99% of the criticism he gets (he gets a lot of it). But I suppose he was particularly upset about this attack. After all, Coulter is a conservative. And she’s attacking a major issue Trump has been working tirelessly to accomplish. Misinformation about the wall is all over the place. The record needs to be set straight.
And, in classic Trump fashion, he did it and gave her a nickname.
President Donald Trump called conservative pundit Ann Coulter a “wacky nut job” on Twitter Saturday after continued criticism from Coulter over his inability to complete a southern border wall.
Wacky Nut Job @AnnCoulter, who still hasn’t figured out that, despite all odds and an entire Democrat Party of Far Left Radicals against me (not to mention certain Republicans who are sadly unwilling to fight), I am winning on the Border. Major sections of Wall are being built… [Source: Daily Caller]
I for one can’t say why Coulter is attacking the president over this. Maybe she really is a wacky nut job. Or perhaps, she just wants more attention. It could even be that she’s not a real conservative, just a pundit who jumps onto a cause for ratings and views.
It’s hard to say, but one thing is clear: Trump is hardly a failure when it comes to the border wall.
His administration is hitting back hard against the tidal wave of migrants who keep charging our border. Over the last few months, enormous caravans have marched across South America, intent on entering our country. They were told they’d be welcomed in, no questions asked. As Trump said, another president might have just let them in.
But President Trump is protecting Americans by enforcing our immigration laws. And, despite what the media says, much of the wall is being built.
Democrats might try to stall or deny him the funds, but it’s happening. It’s going to be finished. Come hell or highwater, our Southern border is going to be secure.
Coulter can complain all she wants, but I don’t see her fighting to make it happen.
