Democrats continue their petty, closed-door sham of an impeachment inquiry. Yet once again, they get nothing to pin a crime on Donald Trump. A former White House aid and NSC adviser testified about the phone between Trump and Ukraine. As someone who literally listened in on the call, he had the best knowledge of what was said. And Adam Schiff is none too happy.
Democrats have nothing. Adam Schiff and his gang keep dragging people into hearings to get their “take” on the phone call between Trump and the Ukrainian president. But it’s all pointless. We saw the transcript ourselves. The president did not do what the left claims he did: threaten to withhold aid from Ukraine unless they did what he wanted.
(Which is exactly what Joe Biden did, by the way, years earlier.)
Despite the fact that the transcript clears Trump’s name, Democrats keep dragging this out. They think someone within the administration will betray the president and claim he violated the law. I can’t see how that’s possible when the literal evidence proves otherwise.
But this is the Democratic Party in 2019. Facts don’t matter, only their false narrative.
It doesn’t matter what “witnesses” say in these hearings. If it doesn’t match the transcript, it’s just their opinion. Even with this, Republicans say every witness has cleared Trump—even if their intentions were to slam him.
Now, the most recent witness, a man who actually listened in on the call, testified. And he says nothing illegal was discussed. Kind of throws a wrench in Schiff’s plans.
A top White House adviser on the National Security Council testified Thursday to the House impeachment inquiry that he didn’t believe “anything illegal was discussed” during President Trump’s July 25 call with Ukraine’s president…
Tim Morrison — who handled Russian and European affairs for the NSC — was listening in on the call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from the White House Situation Room, he acknowledged Thursday.
But Morrison, in an opening statement reviewed by Fox News, said: “I want to be clear, I was not concerned that anything illegal was discussed.” [Source: Fox News]
Well, well, well what do we have here? A member of the NSC was actually listening to the call. And he says nothing illegal was discussed!
In fact, he originally showed concerns over the phone call, not because of anything that was said, but because he feared the transcript would leak and be used by Congress in a damaging way.
It seems like Morrison knows Congress pretty well and that Democrats would want to use the call to hurt Trump. That would lead to problems with our relationship with Ukraine, which is vital to our national security.
Kind of like what’s happening right now! Democrats are using this phone to create chaos and push impeachment. It has put pressure on Ukraine, which might hurt our relationship with the country. Giving Russia more influence in the region.
Of course, Democrats never considered that, because they are so hellbent on impeaching Trump. As in every other case, they ignore the real problems just to hurt the president.
Democrats ignore the success Trump has had leading this country. Jobs are flooding back in. Lower taxes have resulted in higher wages. Our border is being secured. And ISIS is crushed. Democrats want to throw all that away, because they don’t like Donald Trump.
That is the height of partisan crookedness. And far worse than anything Trump has ever done.
Republicans are pointing to Morrison’s testimony as further proof that Trump has done nothing wrong. In fact, the man’s first-hand knowledge of the call contradicts what other “witnesses” have said, including the so-called whistleblower who started all this.
The whistleblower, who is still nameless, claims that Trump did all kinds of things during the call. All of which are illegal. Yet the transcript and Morrison’s testimony (as well as numerous others’) proved the whistleblower’s claim was false.
So why are we still doing this? Why is the House wasting time and money on an impeachment that will go nowhere?
It’s a question we need to demand our leaders.
