The woman who claimed she could easily beat Trump in 2020 is saying goodbye. Controversial senator and former California AG, Kamala Harris, has dropped out of the Democratic primaries. It appears this Democrat did not have what it takes to run for the presidency. Team Trump and the president himself offered a few parting words. They’re priceless.
Kamala Harris’ campaign was plagued with problems from the very beginning. Who could forget how a local, California Democrat accused the woman of “sleeping” her way to the top? Worse than that, the so-called progressive Democrat was slammed for how many minorities she sent to prison as California’s AG.
Apparently, she loved to doom non-violent offenders to extra-long prison sentences. That’s not a great feather in your cap, when you’re running as a bleeding-heart liberal.
Kamala Harris was on the rise, though, after the very first Democratic debate. She brought the heat to Joe Biden, who struggled to respond to her attacks. That caused her ranking to shoot up, at least for a little while.
But the California senator continued to lag behind “stars” like Crazy ol’ Sanders and Awkward Elizabeth Warren. Then rumors of how she treated her staff started to circle, including a top staffer who said, “I have never seen an organization treat its staff so poorly.”
Ouch. Maybe that was the nail in the coffin. Kamala announced this week that she lacked the funds to continue on (even as her supporters were launching a million-dollar ad buy in Iowa). She even blamed billionaires like Michael Bloomberg for her failure.
“I’m not a billionaire. I can’t fund my own campaign,” continues Harris. “As the campaign has gone, it’s become harder and harder to raise the money we need to compete.” [Source: Daily Wire]
Democrats were quick to complain that now all their top contenders are old, white people. Proving once again just how racist and ageist that party is.
President Trump’s ally, Corey Lewandowski, was quick to comment too. He cast a spotlight on just how difficult it is to run a campaign. And how Kamala came nowhere close to Trump’s success.
‘One of the hardest decisions of my life’: Kamala Harris ends once-promising campaign. Another one bites the dust. Guess it’s not as easy as everyone thought. @realDonaldTrump connected with people that’s why he won 38 Primaries and Caucuses. [Source: Twitter]
Corey makes a very good point. Kamala Harris counted on her status as a liberal elitist to help carry her through the election. She just expected the media and her status as a minority and woman to prop her up.
Did we ever see her bust her butt to connect with regular people? Donald Trump has been accused of being an elitist. But he traveled all over the country to win over regular folk like you and me. He shook hands, took selfies, kissed babies, and promised to fight for every last American.
I don’t recall Kamala doing any of that.
President Trump offered some parting words to the failed candidate.
Too bad. We will miss you Kamala! [Source: Twitter]
Kamala is one of many 2020 Democrats finally dropping out of the race. But there are still many more still running. In fact, a few new ones just recently joined, including former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg.
That’s a pretty sad state of affairs if you ask me. Democrats just can’t seem to figure out who should be their candidate. So many liberals rushed to the primaries. Did they really think it would be that easy? None of them have what it takes to beat Trump, let alone run the greatest country in the world.
Maybe they were deluded into believing they could win, because they spend all their time listening to fake news. Or they have a swarm of yes-men around them, telling them they could beat Trump. Either way, they are quickly learning that taking on Trump is much harder than they realized.
I wonder who will be next to drop out of the race? Bernie Sanders? Elizabeth Warren? Mayor Pete? Something tells me we’re going to find out soon.
