Reports indicate the House Democrats will push for an impeachment vote as early as next Wednesday. Years of scheming and lies will finally result in Democrats endorsing a wildly partisan impeachment of Donald Trump. But the story doesn’t end there. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell discussed what would happen next. Democrats won’t be too happy about this.
Democrats have sealed their fate with this bogus impeachment scheme. From the moment Donald Trump became president, they talked about impeaching him. Before he did a single thing as our leader, the left wanted to remove him from office. Hard to take what they’re doing now seriously because of it. How can we not believe they not impeaching Trump over a crime, but over how successful he’s been as president?
On top of that, support for impeachment among Americans is in the toilet. Poll after poll proves we just don’t want it. We know that Democrats from Trump-supporting districts who vote to impeach will lose their jobs in 2020. They will lose their majority in the House. This impeachment movement will do nothing but destroy the Democrats, perhaps for years to come.
But will it end up hurting the president? Is it possible this pathetic sham of an impeachment actually results in his removal from office? Democrats might be hoping for that. But Mitch McConnell just set the record straight.
“The case is so darn weak coming over from the House. We all know how it’s going to end,” McConnell said on “Hannity” “There is no chance the president is going to be removed from office.”
McConnell also said he hoped that none of the members of his caucus would vote to remove the president from office, adding “it wouldn’t surprise me if we got one or two Democrats” to vote to acquit Trump of the charges of high crimes and misdemeanors. [Source: Fox News]
McConnell makes it clear that in no way will the left’s impeachment result in Trump getting ousted. Thanks to a Republican majority, there are not nearly enough votes in the Senate to convict him.
In fact, because of the House Democrats’ weak case, Mitch predicts that a few Senate Democrats would vote to acquit Trump as well (meaning Manchin and some other red-state senators).
You have to really wonder just what Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, Waters and all the others were thinking. Didn’t they bother to think this thing through? They knew Republicans controlled the Senate, right? Then they should have assumed McConnell and the rest would never vote to remove Trump.
So why the hell have they wasted our time on this sham impeachment? Maybe they thought that, after Republicans vote to acquit, they can rely on their liberal media to smear them. “We tried to remove Trump, but those darn Republicans stopped us!”
That might work, if this was 1998. But people don’t believe the mainstream media anymore. If they did, Americans would be on board with impeachment. We’re not. Americans are sick and tired of this sham. And Trump supporters are outraged.
Democrats really shot themselves in the foot. They convinced themselves that they could remove a president from office over an innocent phone call. They all but admitted (numerous times) that this impeachment was about preventing Americans from re-electing Trump in a fair and open election.
The Democratic Party has become one that hates democracy. Let that sink in. A group of government swamp dwellers want to decide who becomes president—not the American people. They want to impeach a president on the flimsiest of pretexts.
All because, in the end, Trump is defying the corrupt D.C. swamp to help Americans.
You should be very happy Mitch McConnell is running things in the Senate. Not only is he predicting a quick impeachment process, but he’s “in total coordination with the White House counsel’s office.” Meaning, he’ll give President Trump the chance to actually defend himself.
Trump might even take the stand to testify. Hmm… what do you think he’ll say?
It won’t be good for Democrats, I can tell you that right now.
Perhaps Pelosi should have just said no?
