The coronavirus outbreak has put our government under the microscope. From federal lawmakers to state leaders, everyone needs to work together to end this situation. Just a few days ago, a top liberal governor was complaining and criticizing Donald Trump. But after a stiff rebuke from the president, this man is changing his tune.

At the outset of the coronavirus panic, the liberal media was playing its typical game. They thought they could exploit the problem in order to hurt President Trump. I’m sure we can all agree that the rapid spread of fear and worry was largely the fault of the mainstream media and “pundits” on social media.

Even now, there are some on the left trying to bash Trump. But those with real responsibility don’t have that kind of luxury. Their cities are hard hit by this disease and they need all the help they can get. Especially from the federal government.

Which is why we shouldn’t be surprised to see longtime critics—some might say enemies—of Donald Trump are now working closely with him and his administration. Over recent days, we’ve heard from Democrat Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, shower praise on President Trump and his team’s response. It seems that some Democrats are finally seeing how affective he is, in the face of a crisis.

One leader who was still trying to undermine the president was New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Even as New York City was hit badly by the spread of this virus, the governor still felt the need to attack President Trump. It even forced Trump to call out Cuomo, telling him to “leave politics out of this.”

Now, it seems like Cuomo has seen the light. In a rare (and shocking) moment of bipartisanship, the governor called out Donald Trump and praised his administration.

New York Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo praised President Donald Trump during a press conference on Tuesday for his work in helping New Yorkers combat the coronavirus, which originated in China.

“I spoke to the president this morning again. He is ready, willing, and able to help,” Cuomo said. “I think the president was 100% sincere in saying that he wanted to work together in partnership and in a spirit of cooperation. Steps he has taken are evidence of that.”

“His team has been on it. I know a team when they are on it. I know a team when they are not on it,” Cuomo continued. “His team is on it. They have been responsive late at night, early in the morning. And they’ve thus far been doing everything that they can do, and I want to say thank you, and I want to say that I appreciate it, and they will have nothing but cooperation and partnership from the state of New York.” [Source: Daily Wire]

Wow. Keep in mind, this is a man who has promised (and followed through) to send lawsuit after lawsuit against Donald Trump. A man who can be considered a top critic of the president and his administration. Did you ever think he’d say these kinds of things about the man?

Cuomo is thanking Trump and saying he’s been “doing everything” he can do. Like other state Democrats, the governor is showing appreciation and cooperation with the president.

And all it took was a devastating disease that has nearly shut down our country.

I mean, I wish it hadn’t taken such extreme measures for Democrats to actually work with Trump, once. But at least, for a little while, they are doing the right thing.

We don’t know how long this coronavirus will be a pain in our ass. But signs show that treatment and testing is on the way. In the coming weeks, we might see a dramatic turnaround, as state leaders actually work with the president, instead of oppose him.

The only question is, will it last once the coronavirus is a memory?
