At the outset of the virus panic, many Americans were willing to comply with government-mandated lockdowns. But as the weeks rolled on, the disease appeared more like a whimper than a hurricane. Now, it’s the end of April and most states are still locked and barred. So, more and more Americans are rebelling. Including many in this unlikely place.

Afraid of all the scary predictions about the virus, most Americans agreed to the lockdown measures in mid-March. After all, we were told this virus would result in the death of millions of Americans (despite hard data to prove it). But it didn’t take long before we realized that those projections were bogus—and that forcing all Americans into their homes was the worst solution to this crisis.

By mid-April, we were learning that far more people had the disease and already recovered. Hospitals weren’t overwhelmed. The death rate was much lower. And facts we were told from the beginning (that the only people vulnerable were the elderly or frail) held up. So why did we flush away our economy for no reason?

Many states have spent the last two weeks talking about reopening. But few of them have pulled the trigger. Many more states refuse to reopen—pushing their lockdowns well into May.

Sorry, but Americans have already had enough. Millions have lost their jobs. Millions more are suffering the emotional and psychological toll these un-American lockdowns have produced. They’ve been protesting for weeks. Many decided to just say, “Screw it,” and are rebelling against their liberal overlords.

Thousands of Californians flocked to open beaches in Southern California due to a heat wave despite Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom’s stay-at-home order.

Surfers and crowds of people were spotted along the Huntington Beach coast and Newport Beach Friday as the region is experiencing high temperatures, which will last through the weekend.

Many of the beachgoers were seen to be less than six feet apart, and many were not wearing masks. Officials are also expecting more crowds over the weekend…

California, a state with nearly 40 million residents have… wait for it… only 1,700 COVID-19 deaths. Yet despite their low and dropping rates, the governor talks about keeping the state closed for much longer.

Hell no. With temperatures rising, and Americans sick of staying in doors for nearly two months, they had enough. Roughly 40,000 Californians were out on Huntington Beach and Newport Beach. They weren’t “social distancing” or wearing face masks. Can you imagine that? Expecting people to wear face masks at the beach?

It’s clear the demands put on Americans have gone too far. We know the risks of the disease and those who should take extra precautions. There’s no reason the rest of us can’t live our lives. After all, this isn’t the first threat to hit our country. We face threats every day. Why should we shutdown forever, over a disease much like the flu?

At this point, we have to wonder why (mostly Democrat) governors want their states to remain shut down? Even in New York, the numbers are dropping. Everywhere else fared much better. Yet they want us shut in our homes, in some cases, until June.

Hmm… maybe it has something to do with trying to squeeze more cash from the federal government? It’s no secret that liberal states are in debt. Perhaps they see this crisis as a way to cover their reckless spending with federal dollars?

Sounds underhanded? Almost evil? Welcome to blue states.

At least thousands of residents of CA are rejecting the governor’s bogus demands. Hopefully more Americans will break the rules, forcing these un-Constitutional lockdowns to end.
