After President Trump was admitted to Walter Reed Medical Center, droves of supporters arrived to wish him well. An impromptu rally formed after a group gathered to pray and cheer on Trump’s recovery. The president decided to thank them by driving by in a Secret Service caravan. The media quickly complained. So, Trump hammered them online.
The real reasons Democrats are so upset about the show of support for Trump is simple. If one of their leaders—even a liberal president—were to fall ill, they’re not sure they’d get the same treatment.
Should we be surprised? Democrats have declared an all-out war on American traditions and values. Just this year alone, they’ve proven how far they’d go to punish Americans for simply trying to live their lives. And after Trump announced he tested positive for COVID (keep in mind, he could have kept it a secret), the left had nothing good to say.
We’ve all seen the flood of support Americans have shown to Trump and his family after his diagnosis. An impromptu gathering of many supporters formed outside his hospital. Americans of all stripes came out to express their gratitude—and love—for Trump, praying for him and hoping he’d recover soon.
The president posted a video thanking everyone for the support and he decided to surprise those outside the hospital. Soon after, a Secret Service caravan drove by. President Trump was seen waving to his supporters through one of the SUV windows, mask in place.
It was a wonderful moment for anyone pulling for the president. Democrats and their goons in the media, however, did nothing but complain. So, Trump decided to take them to the woodshed.
It is reported that the Media is upset because I got into a secure vehicle to say thank you to the many fans and supporters who were standing outside of the hospital for many hours, and even days, to pay their respect to their President. If I didn’t do it, Media would say RUDE!!! [Source: Twitter]
President Trump slammed the media for complaining about what he did. He highlighted the fact that the elitist, arrogant media were insulting what many supporters were doing: standing outside a hospital for many hours—days—to show the president some much-earned respect. In fact, the president was, in a way, obligated to go out of his way to show them his appreciation.
Under normal circumstances, he would have probably stood in front of them, thanking them and giving a short speech. Maybe he would have shaken some hands. But, considering his diagnosis, he did as much as he could.
Trump brings up a good point. The media would have attacked him if he didn’t do something to thank his supporters. You can imagine Don Lemon or that other one on CNN saying he rudely ignored those “good” people who waited outside for hours. But that’s the double standard of the left for you.
When have we seen the same level of consideration for Americans as Trump has, from other presidents? Plenty of people may have idolized Obama—but he seemed content with just gobbling up their praise, giving very little in return. Even during speeches where crowds cheered him on, he smugly smiled like some kind of false god.
Trump, on the other hand, doesn’t take for granted that millions of Americans appreciate him. And he would have done much more to thank them, if circumstances allowed.
That is the real thing the left hates: the fact that there is real love between Trump and his supporters.
Perhaps that’s something they haven’t felt in years?
