Just when you thought censorship couldn’t get any worse, the Democrats just proved you wrong.
Television and content providers were grilled by two far-left House Democrats on Monday. Reps. Eshoo and McNerney asked the media giants why they ‘allowed’ Fox News, One America News Network and Newsmax on their networks. The Right-Wing news outlets were blamed solely for spreading ‘misinformation’ and ‘conspiracy theories.’
Verizon, AT&T, Comcast, and ROKU were sent letters by the radical Democrats, demanding to know why they allowed “conspiracy theory hotbeds and rumor mills that produce content that leads to misinformation and real harm.”
The content carriers were compelled to answer if they planned to maintain these Right-Wing outlets on their networks and why.
Here the Democrats are attempting to ban all news, information or entertainment they deem harmful solely based on ideological differences.
This move represents the Democrats’ Soviet-style attempt to “reeducate” the U.S after the Capitol protests on Jan. 6. The far-left lawmakers are working overtime to ban any media that in any way is sympathetic to President Trump or his ‘America First’ cause.
In response to the allegations, Fox News Media said in a statement, “As the most watched cable news channel throughout 2020, FOX News Media provided millions of Americans with in-depth reporting, breaking news coverage and clear opinion. For individual members of Congress to highlight political speech they do not like and demand cable distributors engage in viewpoint discrimination sets a terrible precedent.”
Democrats have faced immense blowback from their Republican colleagues. Conservatives in both the House and Senate have railed against the Democrats’ accusations and attacked their attempt to limit Free Speech Rights.
“Democrats are sending a clear and troubling message — these news entities will pay a price if the their newsrooms do not conform to radical Democrats’ approved political narratives,”
The Democrats also sent letters to content providers such as Charter, Apple, Amazon, Hulu, Alphabet and COX demanding to know their plan to ban Right-Wing news outlets.
The House Energy and Commerce telecommunication subcommittee plans to hold a meeting this week to discuss their role in banning potential misinformation on television.
America’s right to Free Speech is currently under attack.
