With Joe Biden in the White House and Democrats making a mockery of Congress, the battle to preserve America’s freedoms and dignity resides with the states. Since we can only count on D.C. to make things worse, strong conservative leaders at the state level will have to fight to ensure Biden doesn’t trample us into the ground.
We’ve already seen some state leaders rise to the forefront in recent battles. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is becoming a prominent figure, both in the GOP and America. He was one of the first governors to push back against the lockdown trend, managing to keep residents safe while no restricting freedoms. Other state leaders have pushed back against Biden’s toxic policies, including his far-left agenda.
Now, two states have joined forces to call out one of Joe’s stupidest mistakes. Soon after entering office, Joe canceled many decisions Trump made to keep our country safe. One of them, the “remain in Mexico policy” was a stroke of genius that ensured our border wasn’t overwhelmed. Joe killed it, so Texas and Missouri are hitting back.
Texas and Missouri sued President Joe Biden’s administration Tuesday for rescinding the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), saying the program which forced migrants to wait in Mexico while their hearings progressed needs to be reinstated…
In a press release, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said he and Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt filed the lawsuit in an effort to reinstate the program and “curb the criminal and humanitarian crisis at the border.”
“President Biden could immediately remedy the influx of crime pouring across our border by reinstating the Migrant Protection Protocols. Dangerous criminals are taking advantage of the lapse in law enforcement and it’s resulting in human trafficking, smuggling, a plethora of violent crimes, and a massive, unprecedented burden on state and federal programs for which taxpayers must foot the bill. We cannot allow this lawlessness to destroy our communities any longer. President Biden must act.” [Source: Breitbart]
The remain in Mexico policy was a key rule that dramatically reduced the number of illegals demanding asylum in our country. Prior to that rule, people would jump the border, get caught, and claim asylum. Under Obama (and now Biden) these illegal aliens would be given a court date for their case and then released into the country. How many do you think showed up for their court date?
But with the MPP, remain in Mexico rule, it cut down the number of asylum demands. That’s because those with weak, flimsy asylum stories would be required to stay in Mexico, not America. How many people wanted to do that?
Biden killed this rule, knowing it would significantly increase the number of aliens rushing the border. Everything he’s done has been to make the border worse, so that he could let more migrants into our country. It has never been about helping immigrants or protecting our nation. It has been about Democrats exploiting desperate people, to turn them into a slave voting class.
It’s uncertain now how this lawsuit will affect the border. Should the courts rule in the states’ favor, the MMP might be reinstated. But that only means Biden will find a new way to weaken our border.
Only until Biden has a check in Congress, will we see any progress made on the crisis.
