Pundits and so-called experts might be picking apart Joe Biden’s speech for a while. But what we can say for sure is that that low-energy, almost boring delivery was still nonetheless crammed with promises to radically alter our way of life and values as a country. Biden wants to plunge our nation into debt, robbing our children of a secure economic future, all because he claims the country is currently in “crisis.”
Joe wants to spend trillion upon trillion of dollars to provide new handouts that nobody needs. He thinks he can bribe Americans into liking him, by making us pay for subpar family care with massive new taxes. Just as the country is coming out of a pandemic, he wants to throw our recovery into question, with bloated government spending.
Yet with all his talk about the problems America is facing, he neglected to mention one major problem we all know about. Biden did not one talk about the exploding crisis at the border, where currently hundreds of thousands of illegals are demanding entrance. We all know why he didn’t mention it during his speech; Biden is to blame for it.
Now, even Democrats are calling him out over it.
Democratic Senator of Arizona Mark Kelly spoke out against President Joe Biden’s lack of discussion about a plan to address the border crisis during his first address to Congress Wednesday night…
“While I share President Biden’s urgency in fixing our broken immigration system, what I didn’t hear tonight was a plan to address the immediate crisis at the border, and I will continue holding this administration accountable to deliver the resources and staffing necessary for a humane, orderly process as we work to improve border security, support local economies, and fix our immigration system.”
In an interview with Politico, Kelly said, “This continues to be a major problem that shouldn’t fall on the shoulders of Arizona communities. And I think it was important to highlight that it wasn’t part of the address last night.” [Source: Daily Wire]
It may be surprising to hear a Democrat criticize Biden, especially over an issue most liberals refuse to acknowledge. But keep in mind, Kelly is responsible to the people of Arizona. And AZ is one of just a few states getting hammered by the thousands of migrants trying to get in. Sure, Dems in Vermont or Seattle can ignore the crisis, but when your own supporters fear illegals overrunning their communities, you can’t be that oblivious.
While it’s refreshing to see a Democrat call out Biden for his dishonesty, Kelly was direct enough. We all know how to “fix” the crisis at the border and that’s to reinstitute Trump’s border policies. The 45th president that the border under control, because he was building the wall, ended “catch-and-release,” deported illegals, and maintained agreements with South American countries.
All that Biden needs to do is restore all those measures and the border will quickly settle down.
But neither he nor Sen. Kelly is willing to admit that. So, the crisis might continue for a long time before someone in D.C. gets it right.
