Psaki Blasts DeSantis With Insults – But She Can’t Handle His Rebuttal

It’s no secret that Joe Biden and his administration are failing on nearly every front. That’s including their handling of the COVID recovery. Biden failed to get a certain percentage of the country vaccinated by July. So now, he is trying to punish Americans who did get vaccinated so they would turn on their unvaccinated neighbors.

But it seems the country is not on Biden’s side. Americans were outraged when the CDC recently flip-flopped on its mask rules. The White House is struggling to justify contradictory requirements for Americans, trying to explain why vaccinated Americans need to wear masks.

We shouldn’t be surprised to see the administration trying to scapegoat some else. And that’s just what White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki did recently. To try to take the heat of this pathetic administration, she slandered the state of Florida.

“So, you know, at a certain point, leaders are going to have to choose whether they’re going to follow public health guidelines or they’re going to follow politics and we certainly encourage all governors to follow the public health guidelines,” she continued. [Source: Daily Wire]

Psaki falsely accused Florida of following politics rather than public health guidelines. That’s rich, coming from Democrats—who so cruelly exploited this pandemic for politics that we might never hear the end of COVID-19.

Well, DeSantis’s office was not going to take this attack lying down.

“The White House should be more concerned about the flip-flopping of the CDC, which is inadvertently promoting vaccine hesitancy with their confusing, contradictory public communications. Stating that vaccinated people should wear masks and socially distance is implying that the vaccines do not change anything, which is the wrong message for our federal government to be promoting.”

“Government mandates do not work to stop COVID-19,” [Press Secretary Christina] Pushaw added. “The empirical evidence supports his position on this.” [Source: Daily Wire]

DeSantis’s office went on to shame the White House, stating facts about their treasured “mask mandates.”

According to the data, Texas lifted its mask mandate on March 2, 2021. Cases continued to decline in the state in the weeks and months to follow—with only an uptick due to a seasonal resurgence of the virus. California, on the other hand, has been pushing masks since June of 2020. Cases only rose, peaking in December, with the large single-day in January of this year.

Pushaw also noted that Florida counties that mandated masks did not see a “significantly better” outcome compared to the rest of the state—suggesting masks rules are bunk.

What’s even more disgusting about the White House’s attack is that Florida has been very aggressive about getting its residents vaccinated. The governor himself held 50 vaccine-specific events, visiting 27 counties. DeSantis has regularly encouraged residents to get vaccinated, with posts online, not to mention during public appearances.

And we can look back as see that Florida has been far more effective at rolling out the vaccine, both at the end of last year and this year, than many blue states. So, why is the White House attacking them?

Why isn’t it criticizing blue states that struggled to get vaccines to the most vulnerable? Why isn’t Psaki calling out states that can’t get minority Americans jabbed?

Oh, maybe because they’re all run by Democrats—and heaven-forbid Biden criticize members of his own party!

So, who is really being political?
