‘Let Them Eat Cake’ — Elitist Psaki Mocks Inflation Crisis

The old saying rings true: when someone shows you who they are, believe them.

Such is the case with Jen Psaki and the Biden administration at large, who have repeatedly mocked, derided, or downplayed growing concerns over the supply chain crisis currently plaguing the United States.

As a result of this crisis, prices for common goods have skyrocketed including multiple food items, clothing, furniture, household products, and fuel. Grocery store shelves are emptied and restaurants are forced to post signs alerting customers of out-of-stock food items.

The Biden administration is seemingly fine with the optics of a nation in supply crisis; the empty grocery store shelves mean nothing to them. Probably because they don’t have to grocery shop or experience the inconveniences of a collapsed economy.

First, Joe Biden’s chief of staff Ron Klain referred to inflation concerns as “high class problems,” insinuating that average Americans had no business getting involved since they were largely unaffected by the crisis. This is of course untrue since it’s your average American who is forced to deal with skyrocketing prices of food and gas.

Jen Psaki was quick to defend Klain’s social media post when a reporter pressed her on it the following day.

On Tuesday, Jen had a real “let them eat cake moment” when she was asked about the actions Joe Biden is taking to combat the supply chain crisis, which is could mean a dwindling Christmas shopping list for many Americans.

The White House Press Secretary appeared to joke about supply chain issues currently impacting the U.S. economy.

To sum up the reporter’s question (no one really cares about him), he basically asked Psaki why weren’t preemptive steps taken to combat a supply chain crisis when it was apparent that COVID-19 was going to cause a global catastrophe. The reporter said, “You couldn’t get furniture, treadmills, etc delivered on time..”

This is when Psaki unleashed her “joke” — but as we know, liberals have no handle on humor whatsoever.

The joke went over like a lead balloon and instead of being funny, just exposed her snide elitism.

“The tragedy of the treadmill that’s delayed,” Psaki quipped.

Jen knew she messed up as she stormed away from the podium when wrapping up the briefing.

Needless to say, she will face no backlash in the mainstream media.
