Former Trump Secretary Blasts Biden’s Disastrous Presser

Plenty is being said about the nightmare that was Joe Biden’s press conference. There is a reason his handlers prevented him from conducting one for nearly 300 days. And we saw that reason live this week. Biden’s comments were so out-of-touch, confused, and idiotic, that some fear he just gave Putin a green light to invade Ukraine.

That was just the tip of the iceberg of Biden’s chaotic presser. The man flopped hard, at one point claiming cable news outlets would be out of the “mix” in four to five years. As usual, he seemed confused, tired, and uninterested in what he had to say. When someone asked him to comment on why so many Americans thought he was mentally unfit to lead he said, “I have no idea.”

Now, Trump’s best press secretary is taking on Joe’s failed performance.

Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany laid into President Joe Biden during Thursday’s broadcast of “Outnumbered” on Fox News, lambasting his long-awaited press conference as “the most delusional” she had ever seen…

“He said he over-performed and that the American people give him a 33% approval rating in Quinnipiac…

“It was also the first time we had seen the president of the United States, or really Biden ever, in a two hour solo format … First time we see him for two hours in the solo format, and I left that press conference genuinely scared for the future of our country,” McEnany continued. “This is someone who is deeply delusional, someone who clearly does not know how to lead. He does not have a basic grasp on the facts, he continued to peddle mistruth after mistruth, emboldening Putin, emboldening Xi in China, and this is only one year. We’ve only had one year of President Biden, and look at the crises and the fires across the country that he completely ignores.” [Source: Daily Wire]

Kayleigh McEnany was Trump’s press secretary through the end of his first term. She cut her teeth taking on the vicious liberal media. She is tough and is not one to mince words, nor is she prone to exaggeration. So, when she says she’s “geniunely scared” about the future of America, that’s saying something.

As someone who worked in the White House’s press department (in charge of it, in fact), she knows exactly how a president prepares for one of these pressers. Staff provide talking points and guidance for how to handle the media. They prep him up and down, so he knows what to say and what not to say.

So, for Biden to crash and burn as badly as he did tells us that, despite everything Psaki and her team tried to do, he couldn’t handle it. McEnany said Biden looked delusional, claiming he “out-performed” his campaign promises. That’s a disturbing quote no matter how you slice it.

From even a modest take at Biden’s presidency, it is a failure. He couldn’t pass his signature legislation. Inflation is out of control. More people died of COVID under him than under Trump. The supply chain is still flagging. And let’s not forget Afghanistan, where he is responsible for numerous deaths.

McEnany demanded the press hold his feet to the fire and demand answers. They probably won’t. But we can come November.
