As Ukraine Fights for Survival, Pelosi Uses It to Divide Americans

The world watches as Russia violates peace agreements and international concerns to invade and take over a sovereign country. Ukrainian residents are fighting for their survival, as Putin threatened to use WMDs against anyone that opposes him. It is a time for peace-loving nations all over the world to band together against this act of oppression and evil. That especially includes the United States, which is one of Ukraine’s allies.

Unfortunately, the U.S. leaders that have the power to intervene are failing. Biden talks big, but his measures have done nothing to stop Putin from walking all over Ukraine. It’s up to Congress to take action if Biden is unwilling. But what is the top leader in the House doing? Exploiting this war to criticize her political rivals.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and California Rep. Barbara Lee compared Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to an “assault” on democracy in the U.S…

“We talked about the fact that the invasion, the assault on Ukraine, was an assault on democracy. Barbara [Lee] took the time to talk about assaults on our democracy in our own country,” Pelosi said during a grassroots volunteer event with Democratic activists…

“Putin was engaged in trying to disrupt our own elections, but separate and apart from that, what’s going on in our country with the vote and the role that you’re playing to the fight for passage in the Senate, and the rest, on voting rights in our country?” Pelosi asked Lee. While talking to radical leftist activists, Nancy Pelosi had the gall to compare Russian invaders in Ukraine with Republicans in the United States. The pathetic, partisan excuse for a speaker is using a horrific act of war to attack fellow Americans who respect and defend this country. This kind of sleazy, underhanded move is typical of a woman who puts party politics—and her own career advancement—ahead of what’s good for the country.

As usual, old Nance is stoking the flames of political hatred and division among Democrats. At a time when America might be pulled into a global war, she is wasting time slandering Republicans with the same, tired accusations from last year. Instead of looking for ways to bring the nation together, in light of the current crisis, she trying to tear the country apart—for her own personal gain.

I don’t have to tell you how ugly and un-American this is. Biden dawdles like a senile old man in the White House as Putin destroys Ukraine. At a time like this, Congress needs to step up and take appropriate actions to save lives. Instead, Pelosi is fiddling—more concerned with attacking the opposite party.

And she thinks she’s going to hold onto the House next year?

Congress should be preparing legislation that will aid Ukraine. They should be exploring all measures to protect the nation and check Putin’s ambition. Because we all know that he won’t be satisfied with just Ukraine. He will push forward, intent on taking over as much of Europe as he can.

Yet Pelosi is too concerned with pushing hate against Republicans.
