DeSantis Delivers Brilliant Response To Biden’s Request For National Guard

Politically speaking there’s absolutely zero reason why Ron DeSantis would approve of any request from the Biden administration, especially after they targeted Florida for staying open throughout the pandemic.

It wasn’t that long ago when the Biden administration decided not to send Florida any monoclonal antibodies after the federal government nationalized their distribution. Many lives could have been saved by making those treatments available but Biden decided to punish the GOP state instead.

Pure evil, if you ask me…

However, Gov. Ron DeSantis is getting a bit of retribution after the Biden administration put in a request for Florida National Guard Troops to provide added security during Joe’s State of the Union address.

The Florida Governor says he denied a request by the Biden administration to deploy the state’s National Guard to Washington, D.C.

Christina Pushaw, DeSantis’s press secretary, expanded on DeSantis’ decision, saying that the federal government sent the request to all states “to prepare for anticipated ‘First Amendment protests'” coinciding with Biden’s address Tuesday. The National Guard “should never be misused for political purposes,” she added.

“Last year, when the National Guard deployed to D.C. around the inauguration, they were forced to sleep in freezing parking lots, all for a regime spectacle,” Pushaw said. “Our dedicated, patriotic service members deserve better.”

DeSantis spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday about Florida’s rejection of COVID-19 restrictions and presented himself as a counterbalance to Biden. Seen by many as a strong potential candidate for the 2024 presidential election, DeSantis came in second place in the event’s presidential straw poll, losing only to Former President Donald Trump.

Preparations for heightened security for the State of the Union event have been in the works in the nation’s capital for weeks ahead of an expected trucker convoy protest against COVID-1`9 rules, similar to the demonstrations in Canada in recent weeks.

Face coverings will not be required on the House floor when Biden gives his State of the Union address, which will be open to all members of Congress. Masks will also be optional for guests, though they will be required to take a COVID-19 test prior to entering.

All of a sudden liberals believe masks are a personal choice. Go Figure!
