NYC's New Mayor Has Been in Office Five Minutes and He's Already Boycotting Israel

Mayor Mamdani, New York City's latest progressive experiment, is boycotting the Israel Day Parade — making him one of the first NYC mayors in the event's history to skip it entirely. The NY Post editorial board called it a "badge of dishonor," which frankly undersells how fast this guy is speedrunning the radical left playbook.

Remember when we thought Bill de Blasio was bad? At least that clown waited a few years before going full anti-American. Mamdani hasn't even figured out where the bathroom is in City Hall and he's already snubbing one of our closest allies.

Let's back up for context. The Israel Day Parade has been a fixture in New York City for decades. It's not some controversial fringe event — it's a celebration of the bond between America and its democratic ally in a region full of people who'd love to see both of us wiped off the map. Every NYC mayor worth his salt has shown up. It's basically a layup.

But not Mayor Mamdani. No sir. He's got a progressive bingo card to fill out, and he's doing it at record speed.

This is the same mayor who, in his first month in office, announced a propaganda office — sorry, a "communications equity initiative" or whatever Orwellian nonsense they're calling it. So let's do the math: one month on the job, one propaganda bureau created, one allied nation snubbed. That's impressive efficiency, if your goal is turning New York City into a faculty lounge at Columbia University.

The NY Post editorial board didn't mince words, calling the boycott a "badge of dishonor." And they're right. But here's the thing — Mamdani doesn't see it as dishonor. He sees it as a badge of honor with his base. The progressive wing of the Democratic Party has made hostility toward Israel a litmus test, and Mamdani is passing with flying colors.

This is what New Yorkers voted for. They looked at a candidate who couldn't even pretend to support a democratic ally in the Middle East and said, "Yeah, that's our guy." Elections have consequences, and the consequence here is a mayor who'd rather signal solidarity with campus protesters than stand with the only country in the region where women can drive and gay people don't get thrown off buildings.

The parade is imminent, and Mamdani will be conspicuously absent. One of the first NYC mayors to ever pull this stunt. Not because he has a scheduling conflict. Not because of security concerns. Because he doesn't want to be seen supporting Israel.

Say what you will about the man — at least he's honest about who he is. Most Democrats wait until their second term to reveal they despise our allies. Mamdani couldn't even wait a full billing cycle.

New York City, you asked for this. Enjoy your "badge of dishonor" mayor. The rest of us will be over here, standing with Israel, like Americans used to do before the asylum patients took over the hospital.
