Senator Chris Murphy Just Told You Who Democrats Actually Work For

Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) went on MSNBC and told the whole country that illegal aliens are “the people we care about most.” He actually said it. On camera. Into a microphone he knew was on.

Somebody get this man a participation trophy for honesty! We’ve been saying for years that Democrats care more about illegals than American citizens. They’ve always denied it, called us racists, told us we were imagining things. Chris Murphy just ended that debate with seven words.

Here’s exactly what happened. Chris Hayes asked Murphy why Democrats have spent the last 30 years pushing for Ukraine funding instead of a path to citizenship for illegals. Murphy replied: “That has been the Democratic strategy for 30 years, maybe, and it has failed to deliver for the people we care about most, the undocumented Americans that are in this country.”

“Undocumented Americans.” That’s like calling a burglar an “uninvited roommate.”

This clip originally aired in 2024, but it went nuclear on March 24 when the End Wokeness account posted it during — and this is the beautiful part — the DHS shutdown that Democrats caused by blocking Homeland Security funding. Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso played it on the Senate floor like a prosecutor entering Exhibit A. Because that’s exactly what it is.

And the timing is devastating. While Murphy’s party blocks DHS funding to protect illegals from deportation, TSA agents are working without pay for the sixth straight week. Wait times at airports have hit four and a half hours. More than 450 TSA officers have quit since this started. Officials are warning that airports might have to close entirely.

So let’s do the math on what Democrats “care about most.” They rejected the GOP’s offer to fund 94% of DHS — everything except ICE’s deportation wing. That means Democrats looked at a deal that would have paid TSA agents, funded the Coast Guard, kept FEMA running, and protected cybersecurity operations, and said “No thanks, we’d rather protect illegal aliens from being sent home.”

(Somewhere in a Connecticut diner right now, a TSA agent who voted for Murphy is staring at her bank account and wondering if she can eat “undocumented groceries” this week.)

Here’s what Murphy accidentally handed Republicans on a silver platter. When a senior Democratic senator says out loud that illegals are his party’s top priority — and then his party shuts down an entire cabinet department to prove it — you’ve created the most devastating midterm ad since “Willie Horton.”

The last time a party this openly sided against its own citizens on immigration was when California Democrats pushed drivers’ licenses for illegals in 2013. Republicans swept the 2014 midterms and picked up 9 Senate seats. You’d think the Democrats would have learned from that. You’d be wrong.

There are currently 10 Democratic senators up for re-election in 2026 in states that Trump won or came within 5 points of winning. Every single one of them now has to answer a very simple question: “Do you agree with Senator Murphy that illegal aliens are the people Democrats care about most?”

Go ahead, take your time. There’s no good answer. “Yes” loses the general election. “No” means explaining to voters why your party shut down the Department of Homeland Security to protect illegals from deportation. Pick your poison.

And Governor JB Pritzker just made it worse. He went on TV and admitted Democrats don’t want ICE anywhere near polling places because it might scare off “voters.” That’s a real brain teaser, isn’t it? Why would legal American voters be afraid of immigration enforcement at a voting booth? Pritzker didn’t bother answering that one. He didn’t have to — we all heard what he meant.

The SAVE Act requiring proof of citizenship to vote just advanced 51-48 in the Senate. Every single Democrat voted against it. Every one. They don’t want voter ID. They don’t want deportations. Their senior senator from Connecticut just told you illegal aliens are their top priority. And now their leading governor is panicking about ICE near polling places.

At some point you stop calling it a conspiracy theory and start calling it a party platform.

Mark my words: that seven-second MSNBC clip is going to show up in Republican campaign ads from Maine to Arizona for the rest of 2026. Chris Murphy just did more for Republican Senate candidates than the entire RNC fundraising operation. All he had to do was tell the truth for once.
