Leftist agitators rioted in the streets of Portland Wednesday night, smashing windows at the Democratic Party headquarters.

Hundreds of people associated with the leftist organization antifa gathered around 2 p.m. Wednesday, two hours after President Biden’s inauguration ceremony, and marched to the Democratic Party headquarters and began smashing windows, according to KOIN 6 News.

“To those gathered near the Democratic Party of Oregon Portland Headquarters: Members of this group have been observed damaging the building,” the Portland Police Bureau tweeted. “Anyone who is involved in criminal behavior including: vandalism and graffittiing is subject to arrest or citation.”

Several journalists posted video from the scene showing the destruction of the building.

“The Democratic Party Of Oregon building was vandalized moments go by an Antifa group in Portland Oregon,” the Daily Caller’s Jorge Ventura tweeted. “The group gathered at Revolution Hall and blocked roads off as they made their way towards the building.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is facing renewed criticism over a tweet from 2017 claiming that the presidential election the year before was “hijacked.”

“Our election was hijacked,” said Pelosi’s 2017 tweet, which was not censored by Twitter with a warning label as many of President Trump’s tweets questioning the 2020 election were. “There is no question. Congress has a duty to #ProtectOurDemocracy & #FollowTheFacts.”

Several conservatives on Twitter have pointed to this tweet in recent days and wondered why Twitter and the media allowed Pelosi to question the integrity of a certified election when Trump has been punished for doing the same. Twitter rolled out labels on election fraud in September 2020.

“How does this stand @jack?” Fox News contributor Lisa Boothe tweeted. “Hypocrites, all of them.”

“BREAKING: Nancy Pelosi’s tweet spreading the debunked conspiracy theory that the 2016 election was hijacked is still on Twitter without any notice that it has been disputed,” author Alexander Muse wrote.

“I didn’t see twitter having a problem with this,” actor Yoely Lebovits tweeted. “Despite having the elections certified and the president inaugurated.. hey @jack asking for 75 million friends.”

“InCiTiNg ViOlEnCe,” author Mark Dice tweeted.

Twitter declined a request for comment from the Washington Examiner as to why a warning label was not attached to Pelosi’s tweet challenging a certified election result.
