The Black Lives Matter movement is helping grow a “silent majority” of Americans supporting President Donald Trump, determined Mark Smith, president of the Da Vinci Group, offering his remarks on Monday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.

“At the grassroots level, where [Trump] has had great success and continues to have great success making sure that he is speaking to and for those Americans who are in that silent majority,” Smith said, “and I will argue very strongly that that silent majority, on a day-to-day basis, thanks to the folks at Black Lives Matter and the professional race business in this country, are making more and more recruits.”

Smith said a message of national unity can overcome narratives of fragmentation pushed by Democrats and the broader left.

“For Americans to feel comfortable reelecting a president they’ve gotten to know over the last three and a half years, the emphasis [should be] that we are all Americans, that we are men, women and families,” advised Smith. “We’re a country blessed to have an enormously diverse culture.”

Smith added, “This President can bring us all together as Americans, not broken up into little distinct classes and little distinct groups. That’s not what America is, and most people believe that. So if he continues to discuss those types of things but also pivots back to the economy — which is obviously going to be a concern, we’re going to have a specific degree of unemployment — and illustrating that he’s capable of moving that in the right direction, I think he’ll have a very good day in November.”

LISTEN:

Smith questioned the reliability of political polling which relies on answers from whoever it is “who picks up the phone.”

“Here’s the problem with today’s polling,” Smith began, “first of all, there is no science in it, it’s an art. … Number two, most importantly, is the heavy oversampling of Democrats that are in these polls and [the] fact that they are not talking to likely voters and they are, in many cases, not even talking to registered voters, they’re just talking to a person who picks up the phone. [That out] of a sample of a thousand people, somehow, we’re going to extrapolate that Joe Biden is 14 points ahead of President Trump is ridiculous.”

“Liberal media” often use polls to push “their narrative of what should be,” added Smith. “We saw them do that with the Mrs. Clinton four years ago, we obviously know, thank God, what the outcome of that election was. I personally believe they’re trying to do it again. It’s not going to work.

Smith added his view Americans simply aren’t going to “fall for this nonsense. All these folks in the fake news media, they all party together on Zoom, these days, and they’re trying to get Biden elected, and it’s not going to work.”

Smith remarked, “Joe Biden is a hand puppet for the the Democrats and the progressive left. He’s like the Jack Abramoff of presidential candidates. He talks a lot, takes for himself, and does nothing for anybody else.”

Smith concluded, “Biden, unfortunately, illustrates on a daily basis that aging and dementia are dangerous realities.”

Actor Mark Wahlberg was flooded with social media criticism related to his alleged commission decades ago of allegedly racially motivated crimes, after he posted a supportive message about the Black Lives Matter campaign in the wake of the death of George Floyd.

Wahlberg’s Instagram and Twitter profiles published the following message, “The murder of George Floyd is heartbreaking. We must all work together to fix this problem. I’m praying for all of us. God bless. #blacklivesmatter.”

Breitbart News reported on two of the crimes Wahlberg’s critics link to racial prejudice, with the first instance being in 1986, when Wahlberg was 15:

Wahlberg and two other ‘white’ friends reportedly attacked three black siblings by throwing rocks at them in a racial slur-laden foot pursuit in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood. A day later, Wahlberg and a larger group of white friends intimidated a group of mostly black fourth-graders, which was only stopped when an adult intervened.

In 1988, Mark Wahlberg attacked two Vietnamese men. The former Massachusetts attorney general who prosecuted Wahlberg for the crime described the attack as “racial violence,” adding that “racial epithets” said by Wahlberg during the crime “revealed [a] racist motivation.”

Various Twitterati cited Wikipedia in their criticisms of Wahlberg.

“These racial incidents have been hiding in plain sight on Mark Wahlberg’s Wikipedia page since Wikipedia was born. Shannon has always taught me that once you’re a racist, you’re a racist, and I’ll never quite trust you again,” said Fox Sports talk show host Skip Bayless.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) shared an infographic on Saturday via Instagram with guidance for protesters, which she entitled “PROTESTING SAFELY,” including a warning of “white supremacists” who “may be infiltrating these protests.” Her recommendation came during ongoing demonstrations, protests, and riots in several cities following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Despite encouraging and supporting unrest, Ocasio-Cortez simultaneously advises her Twitter followers to avoid “public places” due to the coronavirus outbreak:

Ocasio-Cortez’s infographic reads:

1. LOOK OUT FOR THINGS THAT DON’T SEEM RIGHT. There are increasing reports and investigations that white supremacists may be infiltrating these protests, breaking windows and destroying property. If anything seems off to you, DOCUMENT IT. Always check who is organizing.

2. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS OF GRASSROOTS BLACK ORGANIZERS. They have been at this a long time and are disciplined in the ropes of community organizing and demonstration. It IS a discipline. Further centralization of political power and enforced material equality should be the response to current unrest, determined Ocasio-Cortez. She said:

If you are calling for an end to this unrest, and if you are calling for an end to all of this, but you are not calling for the end of the conditions that created the unrest, you are a hypocrite.

If you’re trying to call for the end of unrest, but you don’t believe health care is a human right, if you’re afraid to say, ‘black lives matter,’ if you’re too scared to call out police brutality, then you aren’t asking for an end of unrest. You are asking for injustice to continue, and for your people to continue to endure the violence of poverty, the violence of lack of housing access, the violence of police brutality, and not say a damn thing. That’s what you’re asking.

So if you’re out here calling for the end of unrest, then you better be calling for health care as a human right. You better be calling for accountability in our policing. You better be supporting community review boards. You better be supporting the end of housing discrimination. You better be standing up to for-profit real estate developers that are intimidating people and trying to evict them from their homes. That’s what you better be calling for, because if you don’t call for those things and you’re asking for the end of unrest, all you’re asking for is the continuation of quiet oppression.

So if you want the end of unrest, then you should be asking for measures that actually liberate people in their lives from the oppression of economic and social inequity.

Ocasio-Cortez regularly qualifies justice as “economic,” “social,” and “racial.”
