Tuesday on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany addressed her recent sparring with the White House press corps for their focus on the reopening of places of worship amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

McEnany said the issue is not their questions about reopening churches, but rather their lack of questions about former President Barack Obama’s administration and the unmasking of Michael Flynn. The press secretary said it is “journalistic malpractice” by the press corps to refrain from asking questions about Obama and the leak of Flynn’s name.

“I was asked 11 questions as to why churches would be allowed to reopen. It was a bit peculiar to be asked these 11 questions in a row and for the onus and the focus solely to be on why churches are essential — I’ve never been asked why a liquor store was essential,” McEnany said about her spat with reporters. “So, I was merely pointing that out. And to the point about questioning the journalists and asking why they’re not asking certain questions, I field hundreds of questions of day. Journalists are not above being questioned themselves. Journalism is a great and noble profession, but there has been a dearth of journalists asking the real questions for President Obama, the criminal leak of Michael Flynn’s identity, who leaked that identity, the dossier which was used to launch a three-year investigation into this president and spy on his campaign.”

She continued, “Why aren’t those questions being asked? It’s journalistic malpractice not to ask those questions, and I can count on one hand the journalists who are, like Maria Bartiromo and Catherine Herridge, but where is the lack of curiosity from the current press corps? There’s an extreme lack of curiosity at play.”

Thursday, Democratic presidential hopeful Tom Steyer declared President Donald Trump the winner of the Las Vegas Democratic presidential debate.

Steyer argued that the “bickering” among candidates seen during the debate was “tearing each other down” rather than focusing on beating Trump in 2020.

“What did you see in the debate last night?” host Alisyn Camerota asked.

“Well, I saw the person who won the debate last night, whose name is Donald Trump,” Steyer replied. “That’s the first thing I’d say. I think that the person –”

Camerota interrupted, asking, “And what you mean by that? How did Donald Trump win?”

“Because I saw so much bickering between Democratic candidates tearing each other down and going after each other and forgetting the fact that what really counts is beating Donald Trump in November of 2020,” the billionaire outlined.

Steyer added, “I saw people going after each other’s personality and records instead of remembering that, in fact, the Democratic Party needs to win in November.”

During Sunday’s “The Cats Roundtable” on New York AM 970, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich reacted to former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe revealing Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein conducted a push to remove President Donald Trump from office.

Gingrich called the plot “one of the great scandals in American history.”

“[I]f you look at things like McCabe and this whole FBI thing, which is, I think, one of the great scandals in American history,” Gingrich argued to host John Catsimatidis. “The whole idea that your most important law enforcement institution had people who were actively plotting in effect to overturn the elected president of the United States. The more we hear from McCabe and Comey on this, the clearer it is that this was an agency that was so corrupt and so out of control that I think if Hillary Clinton had won, there is no telling what would have happened to our freedom.”

Gingrich added that his hope is new Attorney General William Barr will look into how the FBI treated Hillary Clinton and her staff.”

“I’m hoping that [Barr] is going to look very carefully at everything going back to 2015 and the whole treatment of the Clintons and the treatment of the Clintons’ staff,” he said. “I mean, all these different pieces out there, the more we learn about them the sicker they are. … If it is true, as McCabe and others suggest, that Rosenstein was involved in a serious conversation about whether or not to apply the amendment to take away the president’s authority, I don’t see any way you could avoid dismissing him.”
